We were excited for this year’s Gala as the theme focused on celebrating how lives are changed by a missionary’s heart. On October 19, we hosted our 14th annual Thy Kingdom Come! Gala at the Georgia Aquarium! With a wonderful turnout, guests were treated to a special evening with a cocktail hour, a delicious meal, and talks by our Special Guest, the Auxiliary Bishop of Atlanta, John Náhn Tran, Chair Couple, Jamie and Andy Oreffice, and Keynote Speaker, Fr. John Bartunek, LC. Guests were also entertained with 3 live musical performances by Jillian O. and Fr. John Klein, LC. It was a great evening in supporting the service of the Legionaries of Christ and Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi in Atlanta.
The live performances this year were an exciting surprise for all of the Gala guests. One of these performances featured the 2025 Gala Theme song entitled “Shape My Heart,” which was written and composed by both Jillian O. and Fr. John Klein, LC, special for this year’s event. The other songs performed were “How Can It Be” and “You Make Me Brave“.
We would also like to express our gratitude to Gaëtane Auger, CRC, Local Community Director of the Consecrated Women in Atlanta, and Fr. Shawn Aaron, LC, the North American Territorial Director of the Legionaries of Christ, for providing gracious and uplifting comments from the stage. We also thank the many volunteers and the 2025 Gala committee who worked behind the scenes to organize another great event.
Missionary Hearts are the most joyful hearts in the world….
Another special highlight of the evening was the brief comments from one of the Auxiliary Bishops in Atlanta, the Most Reverend John Náhn Tran. It was wonderful to hear from him and his words of support and inspiration for the RC Movement.
It was a wonderful evening for all who attended this year’s Gala, and it was also beautiful to see the great turnout! A SPECIAL thank you to all of this year’s Gala Sponsors for their support. All was coordinated by a great master of ceremonies, John Hartwell.
The night concluded with a Fund for the Mission, which raised funds for the Legionaries of Christ and the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi, who work in various areas impacting adults, youth, marriage, and missions. It was great to see this gathering of our spiritual family and friends, and a beautiful atmosphere of generosity to help continue our shared mission to renew, form, and launch. Thanks to all of YOU for your continued prayers, support, and gifts to allow us to continue our mission in Atlanta.
