Moving Forward Together

On March 13, 2023 – RC Atlanta hosted a successful State of the Movement event at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Atlanta, GA. The event was attended by over 200 members and friends and proved to be a great evening.

The event was organized to focus on the impact of the RC movement in the Southeast, the state of individual apostolates and sections, an overview of the locality’s finances, and answering questions from members. The guests were treated to a wonderful cocktail social with delicious small bites to eat, and a nice selection of wine, and other beverages.

The evening featured talks from the locality director, Fr. Lino Otero, about the overall state of the movement and growth in the Southeast. There were also highlights of the apostolates from development officer, Teddy Wiegand, a presentation of the evangelization survey results from Mary Obi, and a discussion about the presence and service of the Legionaries of Christ and Consecrated Women in Atlanta by development officer, Brenda Sharman.

All the guests provided great feedback about the evening, with many stating that it was a successful event. It was an excellent opportunity for members to stay informed and engaged with the movement and provided a great opportunity for networking and socializing. RC Atlanta looks forward to hosting similar events in the future to continue their growth and success in the Southeast.
