New Women’s Section Director

The RC Atlanta Women recently concluded their search to select a new section director. Upon the recommendation of Fr. Lino Otero, LC, and the local leadership in the Atlanta locality, the Regnum Christi Territorial Directive College formally approved the appointment for a three-year term effective May 1, 2020.

Kathleen Conklin will be the new women’s section director for Atlanta. Kathleen has been married to Don Conklin for 40 years.  She has seven children and eight grandchildren. Her eldest son, Fr. Ronald Conklin, is an LC priest who works as Admissions Director at Sacred Heart Apostolic School. She has a BA in Special Education and has owned and operated three businesses in her career: The Giving Tree Child Care Center, The Perfect Playhouse, and Creative Catholics.

Her mission and focus have been on “forming the missionary heart”.  She recognizes that every person has been created in love and has a large capacity to give love in return. She wishes to motivate both adults and children to discover the beauty of God within themselves. She is a strong promoter of encouraging a “culture of vocation” within families.

Currently, Kathleen works as Advancement Director at Sacred Heart Apostolic School.

Kathleen has been a member of Regnum Christi for 25 years. She is the creator of K4J, a virtue program for families, schools, and parishes. This program has helped leaders within the Church reach thousands of children. She is the creator of “Mission Mindfulness”, teaching families to live in the freedom of God, loving each person as they are, and motivating each child to love Jesus and their Catholic faith. She also used her expertise as a writer of the content used on the Little Saints Adventure App for children as well as many other projects over the years. She is a speaker and loves to be with people.

Please take a moment to offer your congratulations and prayers to Kathleen on her new role.  Also, it is essential that we also THANK Melissa Foley for her dedication and sacrifice as the women’s section director for the last 3 years!
